What is Canada Ice Dance Theatre, you ask? CIDT is a non-profit organization that teaches children and adults to skate. I skated with the company and taught CIDT classes for a number of years and enjoyed it very much. CIDT’s main focus is on advancing skating as an artistic dance form, and its style of education on the ice is a bit different from traditional skating classes - CIDT lessons lead to improved artistry, performance and skating skills. CIDT has been offering public classes at the West End Community Centre for many years now and literally hundreds of children and adults have taken part.
If you want to learn to figure skate this season or improve your skating skills, I highly recommend checking out CIDT.
