Bourne and Kraatz, Together Again?
I was pleased to hear that Shae-Lynn Bourne and Victor Kraatz would be appearing together again as the co-chairs of the Canadian Figure Skating Championships in Vancouver in January.
It must have been a bitter parting when Kraatz announced his retirement immediately after the dance pair won the 2003 World Championships. No one seemed more surprised that Bourne who, no doubt, had dreams of a long, lucrative professional career. She went on to skate the professional circuit as a singles skater, but her performances obviously lacked something.
According to this National Post article, Bourne and Kraatz aren't just reuniting for the January event, but may be considering skating together again. What a delight that would be!
