Dube and Davidson Delight

It was great to see Dube and Davidson put down two solid programs in the pairs competition at Canadians and get rewarded for it with the gold medal. Despite a tough field, the young team's solid technical work and artistry won over the faster, wilder, less consistent Marcoux and Buntin.

These are the attributes I believe make Dube and Davidson a world-class pair team:

  1. In every competition in the last year, they've turned in solid performances. In a sport where consistency is key, they already have the reputation as solid competitors.
  2. Like Sale and Pelletier, this couple knows how to relate to one another on the ice. They tell a story and draw you in to the performance.
  3. They have equal parts power and artistry.

If you didn't get a chance to see their long program, I suggest you check it out on TSN.ca.
